Pantone wanted 2018’s colour to reflect hope and an exhilarating message. “Whether it’s exploring new technologies or new frontiers in space; stimulating artistic expression or spiritual reflection, this intuitive colour encourages us all to move forward,” Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute.

The National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies has conducted a survey on people living in couples in our region in 2016 and their familial status.
73.6% of couples have chosen to marry, 19.9% ​​to live in a common-law relationship and 6.5% to have chosen a civil partnership contract.

However, most people are still choosing to say “I do”.

The wedding industry still has a promising future. In the southern Alps, it is the most popular union in both counties with 73% of people in Basse-Alpes having chosen to marry and 69% of people in Alpes-du-Haut Provence chose a civil (as opposed to a religious) marriage ceremony.
